Last week of October! Where did it go?? October is to photographers what April is to accountants. The entire month feels like one really long week to me! BUT I love this and love getting you beautiful people in front of my camera.
Today I am sharing Corrina’s senior session. Okay guys, this was a hard one to write. I started teaching Corrina ice skating when she was… I think twelve? She is now in her senior year at Pickerington North and making me feel my age. I am so proud of this sweet girl. She showed up to her senior session and she was by herself. I was like, “Did you come here alone??” She drove herself, in her own car, like a dang adult. I feel like this is a rare thing for people her age now. She has a steady job and is hoping to attend OSU next fall and study computer stuff that I don’t understand, maybe application development. Again, so stinkin’ proud of her. Also, she used to show up to skating practice half asleep and hair unbrushed and I’d be hollering at her and holy guacamole she shows up to her senior session with this sassy short hair cut perfectly fitting her personality, wearing makeup and I can’t take how beautiful. UGH.

Sharing one more senior this week! Meet Peter. This Upper Arlington senior attends the same church as me! Peter decided he wanted his photos on the water, where he has spent many summer days with his family on their boat. It was so much fun to shoot out on the marina. We had a beautiful summer sunset.
I am so blessed to photograph such wonderful young adults. When we shot these photos last summer, Peter wasn't sure where he wanted to go to school yet, or what he would major in, but he did tell me he wanted it to be WARM! I feel ya, Pete. Ready for winter to be over!

Usually I post weddings on Wednesdays, but I am switching it up this week because I am showing off my families and seniors! So instead of #weddingwednesday, it's ...uh... It's Alexis day! Meet Alexis! The first of my exclusive senior sessions for 2018!
Guys. This year, the class of 2018 graduates, which means that I graduated from high school nearly TEN years ago. How had that much time gone by?? Alexis will graduate this spring from Pickerington High School Central - Go Tigers! When we took her photos last summer, she told me she would like to attend Ohio University for her undergrad. I love how confident she was when she told me this.

Bryce! This guy is so cool. I got to photograph him twice, too! We did a split session - one in the summer and one in the fall. Bryce is a Reynoldsburg High School senior and also a varsity soccer player. I have to say, Bryce is one of my favorite seniors! I met with him and his parents about a year ago and he was my first senior rep to sign on for 2017. I am so thankful for the support and kindness the Bradley family has shown to me as a new senior photographer stepping onto the scene. I truly love photographing seniors and their trust in me was so reassuring when deciding to take this on full-force.

I love when clients want to sit down with me first over coffee to talk about their shoot and really make sure I am the photographer for them. I was looking forward to meeting Kaycie and her mom for Starbucks one bright, sunny, Saturday morning. Well, I ended up meeting with just mom. We instantly connected. She told me all about Kaycie, but there was only one problem: Kaycie did not want to partake in the senior photo tradition.
I was so confused. Kaycie’s mom showed me a photo of her and I couldn’t believe she didn’t want to do senior portraits!! She is super gorgeous. I couldn’t wait to photograph her and hopefully show her just how incredibly beautiful she is.
Kaycie hopped out of the car less than happy to be at Jeffrey Mansion on a summer weekday evening, but once we got to know each other, I think her attitude towards photos changed (I hope!).
Kaycie is so much like me! Seriously! I thought it was so cool that she was also into politics. She is strongly opinionated and that’s exactly how I was at her age. I could argue my point to the death and I think Kaycie could as well! Our views are extremely similar, and I love that I met a teen who cares enough about the issues to speak on them.
She loves PacSun and Ulta and Starbucks. Yes, girl. Me too.
While Kaycie and I didn’t get to dig into the weeds on all our similarities too much during her session, her mom had mentioned that she had a Youtube channel where she showed how she did her makeup. Seriously, her makeup looked so good! I wanted to see what she used and how she did it. So, I googled it and found it! And I discovered Kaycie.
I love so much that she shares the love of Christ and how He has changed her life.
Kaycie: I hope you see yourself the way I do in these images. You are strong. You are brave. You are beautiful. And you are loved.
