It was such an honor to meet Anastasia and photograph her baptism this past Saturday. What a beauty! This baptism was so special to me. I photographed Susan and Michael’s engagement, wedding, family, and maternity photos. Getting to be there to capture such special times in my clients’ lives is nothing short of amazing.
This is my third time photographing a baptism in our church, and it was so awesome to see Father Dean had come in from Pittsburgh with his family! I had photographed their daughter Evangeline’s baptism as well and it was so fun to see her again!
Orthodox baptisms are typically like small weddings in size. This is when a child begins their new life in Christ. Due to the pandemic, Anastasia’s baptism was limited, masked, and socially distanced. It was the first time I had seen the church so physically empty, but somehow, the cathedral still felt full to me.
As a Nouna myself, baptisms have an extra special place in my heart. It is an extraordinary blessing and responsibility to be considered to help bring a child up in Christ. Susan and Michael chose an incredible person to be their daughter’s Godmother. I was so happy to hear they had chosen Helen!
I took loads of photographs and it was so hard to narrow it down, but here are my favorites from sweet Anastasia’s baptism. Thank you, Susan and Michael, for having me <3
