The first time I met Alex was at her sister Annie’s wedding. I geeked out about how beautiful Alex was and how much she looked like the brunette version of my favorite comedian, Heather McMahan. Understanding my own awkwardness, I was honestly surprised and so pumped that she reached out to me to shoot her engagement photos. The only problem was… we were not available. I was so bummed.
Bob surprised Alex at home with a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful diamond ring. They were planning a beach wedding in Florida, but opted instead for a backyard wedding this September. Alex reached out again to see if we were available for their date and I excitedly responded back that we were!
We always offer our wedding clients a complimentary engagement shoot. This helps us foster relationships and really gets our clients comfortable in front of our cameras before their big day. We decided to make this more of a family shoot and include both their son and their dog!
Cam is the definition of cool kid and he is such a good time. He showed up in a pineapple shirt and camo shoes. I mean, how could you not want to hang out with this kid?? He’s such a goofball and he melted my heart when he kissed him mom’s cheek (We didn’t even prompt this!). This sweet family was so easy to photograph.
They brought along their Weiner dog, Chewie! We became fast friends and Chewie is definitely a natural in front of the camera, but he was way more interested in exploring the park than taking photos.
We had to reschedule our first family shoot due to rain, but we had the most AMAZING sunset this week!
Alex & Bob, thank you so much for choosing us as your wedding photographers and as your family photographers. We are so excited for September!
Enjoy so many favorites from this sweet family shoot below. Hope you all have a wonderful Independence Day weekend!
