Once upon a time, two dads secretly plotted to have their kids meet, and see what came of it (haha!)… BUT it all came to fruition on this absolutely beautiful wedding day! Kelly and Tyler’s wedding was exquisite in every way. Their happiness was contagious all throughout the day!
Kelly is a planner and a teacher! Working with Kelly on details and timeline prior to the wedding was wonderful, she was so organized, but she promised to let go off all the planning on her wedding day to enjoy the moments and be present. Kelly’s matron of honor and sister mentioned in her speech how Kelly used to throw themed parties, and we definitely want to see more from Kelly on the party planning front because this wedding was… everything.
This joyful bride started the day with her maids, momma, and flower girl getting ready in her childhood home. Alayna, who always does such a marvelous job as a second shooter, whispered after Kelly had gotten in her gown that she looked like “the definition of bridal.” Kelly, you were breathtaking in that gorgeous gown! I mean, regal. And while Kelly was stunningly gorgeous in her dress… our photographer hearts were seriously in awe… our favorite thing about this bride is her spirit. I cannot get over how amazing it was to be hers and Tyler’s wedding photographers. They were so cheerful, so excited for the day, which made photographing them so much fun!
We headed off to Immaculate Conception Church for the wedding ceremony, and where Tyler was in the basement getting ready with the rest of the groomsmen. After the ceremony, we headed off to Nationwide Hotel and Conference Center for photos and the reception! We love receptions here, especially in the Edgewater Building! The sunset is amazing and all the light that comes through is so good!
Some of our favorite details included the cake topper, calligraphy, and favors. Kelly & Tyler used Kelly’s grandparent’s cake topper from 1956, and she added lace from her grandmother’s wedding dress on as the wedding veil. All the calligraphy was done by a close friend. And their wedding favors were hand-stamped Ohio ornaments made by family members. All of these sweet little touches made it all so much more meaningful.
Kelly and Tyler danced the night away with family and friends. We felt so bad pulling them away from the party for sunset pictures, because the dance floor was hoppin’.
Kelly and Tyler, thank you for letting us swoon all over you guys and thank you for having us as your wedding photographers! Below are our favorite images from the day!
