Happy Wedding Wednesday! Today I am sharing Brittney and Trey’s engagement shoot from Homestead Park! I love shooting at this park. I rarely do because it is about 45 minutes away, but I was so happy to drive out for this gorgeous couple!
Brittney and Trey met on a soccer league team. Trey was on the team with one of Brittney’s friends and she asked Brittney if she would like to join too. Such a sweet story to how they met! My favorite part of their story though is the engagement. Trey had to work hard to get Brittney to the zoo. It seemed like everything was working against him that evening, but he finally convinced Brittney that they had to go because there was a special exhibit with penguins going on that evening (sadly, this was not true haha). Trey took Brittney on a walk through “North America” and to her surprise, he proposed at the bottom of the polar bear exhibit! If you know the Columbus Zoo and you’re an animal lover, you can imagine how beautiful and romantic this was, especially for two animal lovers!

Hey everyone! Happy Friday! I am so glad the weekend is here! This is my last weekend before my busy season begins and I am going to soak up every second of it with my family!
But… Oh friends, I have more fall family photo goodness for you today! Meet the Middleton’s (and yeah, mom’s name is Katie so that’s super cool)! They are perfection! This super sweet family is so beautiful and the kids were so good, and so stinkin’ cute! The two oldest were Emily and Thomas, which was so easy for me to remember because my best friend’s name is Emily and her husband’s name is Thomas!

Half way to Friyay! There are only a couple more days until the weekend. I am celebrating over here by sharing an engagement session I shot this past weekend!
We originally had scheduled September and James’ engagement session for Saturday evening, but we switched to Sunday morning since it rained all day on Saturday. I was super excited for a sunrise session… until I walked out of my house into the densest fog I’ve ever seen around here! Visibility was basically zero and I knew I wouldn’t be getting that awesome sunlight from the sunrise I had hoped for. BUT we made it work! Shooting in the fog ended up being really beautiful. We ventured around down to the river and back up to capitol square.
