Wedding Wednesday is back and I am super excited to share Maggie and Peter’s wedding day at the Ohio History Connection!
I met Maggie and Peter when I shot Maggie’s brother and sister-in-law’s wedding last year! I could tell you all about how Maggie and Peter met, when he proposed, and how perfect it all was, but I will spare you my version of the stories and take you straight to their wedding website! They are seriously so sweet and perfect and I love all of the hilarious moments that occurred from the first date to the proposal! If you want to read all about it, click here!
When Maggie asked me to be their wedding photographer, I was so happy! Seriously these two are so amazing. When I found out she and Peter were getting married at the Ohio History Connection, I geeked out. I love all things historical and colonial and I hadn’t been to this location since I was a little girl. I didn’t even know they did weddings!
It rained on and off throughout the day, but the clouds made wonderful even light and the rain held off for the most part for our outside portrait times. It was so much fun using the old village buildings for photos! They used the old village buildings for getting ready and the church in the old village as their ceremony site. The reception was on the top floor of the History Connection’s museum!
Maggie chose the most beautiful purple palette for her bridesmaids’ dresses and the flowers they made were exquisite. I loved every single detail!
Before their ceremony, Maggie did a special first look with her dad and she said a prayer with Peter. I do my best to let these be intimate moments, and often I cannot hear what is being said. We moved both of these moments inside due to rain and during Maggie and Peter’s prayer, I heard him thank God for Maggie. You could see in both of their faces that they were marrying the people they had prayed for. I love their faith in Christ and the commitment that faith brings to their marriage. I’m so happy for them!
Maggie and Peter, thank you so much for having me as your wedding photographer. I loved it so much and I’m so grateful to know you two! Here are my favorites from your perfect day… xo
