Happy Independence Day! It's Wedding Wednesday as well and I am so happy to be sharing Lainey & Matias' wedding! Going into this day, I already knew it would be beyond perfect because Lainey & Matias are two of the kindest, most thoughtful people I have ever met. I was so excited to see their wedding day planning all come together on their big day! Lainey loved purple and I love how she incorporated this so beautifully into her wedding day.
These high school sweethearts were married at Camp Mary Orton here in Columbus. This was my first time shooting at this unique wedding venue and I loved all the green space! The forecast had not called for rain all week, but quickly after the ceremony and formal photos ended, we saw the dark clouds roll in, just in time for bridal party and bride and groom portraits. With no indoor options available, I think time must have stood still because we were able to get all of their photos finished in a very small window of time before the clouds opened up and it started to pour (a much-needed, lucky kind of rain after a hot summer day)!
A few of my favorite reception moments:
1. Learning of Lainey's serious love for saving animals (y'all know I love the furchildrens too).
2. When Lainey's brother Nick hijacked the mother/son dance!
3. Matias' grandparents casually winning the anniversary dance without stepping onto the dance floor (they're adorable!)
The entire day was so incredibly beautiful and filled with so much joy! Lainey & Matias honeymooned in Iceland and I was (Literally) loving all the photos she was posting on her Instragram page!
Lainey & Matias, it was an honor for me to capture your wedding day. Thank you so much for choosing me as your wedding photographer. Like you, every single person I met at your wedding was so warm, it made my job even that much more enjoyable. Here are some of my favorites from your perfect day! xo
