Happy Wedding Wednesday! Guys, it FINALLY feels like fall!! Let’s hope it stays this way through at least mid-December, and doesn’t turn straight to freezing come Thanksgiving, ya know?
Today I’m sharing Kelly & Trent’s wedding! Kelly had booked me nearly a year and a half ago and I was so excited for this day to finally arrive! It was so awesome to see all of their planning come to life.
These high school sweethearts were married at Sunbury United Methodist Church. They took the party just down the street to Bent Tree Golf Club. It was a gorgeous day with beautiful, even light. This was my first time shooting at both the church and at Bent Tree. Everywhere you turn at Bent Tree is so beautiful. Kelly and I actually carted around the week before their wedding and looked at places to shoot their bridal portraits. We had to narrow it down because there were so many great spots!
The colors Kelly and Trent chose for their wedding day were actually their birth stone colors. Such a unique idea! I love how the colors really pop and look so good together!
I always try to share my favorite moments from weddings and I have a few from this one. I loved Trent’s mom’s teary mother-son dance. It gave me so many feels as she was looking at Trent, I can only imagine what was going through her mind. Her little boy, all grown up... Better yet, sorry, I know I shouldn’t be so happy about tears, but they are happy ears! This is why I love weddings! Trent’s brother unexpectedly broke down during his best man speech and it was so touching. I also just loved how much fun Kelly and Trent were having. Even before the ceremony, Kelly was so calm and so hilarious, and so freakin’ beautiful- still obsessed. I walked in to see her with her feet up in her wedding dress, just totally kickin’ it, eating a donut, laughing with her maids and mom. So chill. I love you, girl! And Trent’s personality SHINED on the dance floor. Just wait for the photos.
Thank you guys so much for having us as your photographers! I have loved getting to know you and your families. I have so many favorites from your big day, narrowing it down for the blog was difficult! Wishing you both a lifetime of love and happiness as you begin your new lives as husband and wife. xoxo
