A long-awaited Wedding Wednesday!! We photographed Brandie & Travis’ absolutely amazing wedding near the end of September and we have so many favorites to share with you below!! We took soooo many photos! Get ready for a long, beautiful blog post!
Getting to know Brandie & Travis was the best. Do you remember them from last winter’s engagement shoot at the old insane asylum near Ohio University?? We adore these two!! All day it just felt like we were photographing old friends. They are so sweet and down to earth and just so in love.
We started out the morning in Logan, Ohio. We love shooting in SE Ohio! Brandie and Travis got ready at a hotel near their ceremony and started off the afternoon with their first look. I loved reliving this day in images for so many reasons, but mostly because Brandie looks so at home with Travis. Their genuine happiness gave us all the feels!
We headed off to Hocking Hills Golf Club for portraits with the bride and groom and bridal party. Rolling hills, tall trees, and pretty pathways provided some beautiful backdrops!
Brandie and Travis were married at St. John’s Catholic Church in Logan. The ceremony included traditional Filipino aspects as well, including coin sponsors and veil sponsors. We loved looking this up afterwards to learn the rich symbolism of the traditions!
After the ceremony, we headed off to The Mill in Lancaster for a few more portraits during the most gorgeous sunset, then it was time to party! The Mill was decorated beautifully and every single detail Brandie had planned turned out perfectly! From the popcorn bar to the dessert table… we were in awe.
Brandie & Travis’ found several ways to honor their late fathers on their special day. Brandie included her father’s photo on her bouquet and Travis wore his dad’s photo next to his heart. They had reserved spaces at the ceremony for their fathers and they were honored with lanterns at their reception. Brandie’s sister surprised this incredible couple with a tribute video to both of their dads. There was not a dry eye in the room as sweet memories floated across the reception walls. Their presence was strong throughout the entire day.
Brandie and Travis had one last surprise after dinner: A FLASH MOB. Brandie’s sister had told us it was happening when we were shooting bridal party pictures, but we thought it was just going to be the bridal party. We pretended to set Brandie and Travis up for a photo on the dance floor and the music began! By the end, we were amazed at how many guests were in on this!!
Brandie and Travis, thank you both so much for having us photograph these memories of your wedding day. We are so blessed to have amazing clients like you. We hope you enjoy all of our favorites below (as many as we could include!!) xo
