Happy Wedding Wednesday! I cannot believe it is the first week of June and summer is almost here! Today we are taking you back to a beautiful spring wedding we shot in Northeast Ohio at the end of April. Emily and David have now been newlyweds for a little over a month!

We woke up early and hopped in the car for the journey from Columbus to Cleveland, with Starbucks in hand. We’ve been waiting for this day! We shot Emily and David’s engagement photos at Chagrin Falls River Park in 2019. As with most of our couples last year, Emily & David had to change their 2020 date to 2021 due to the pandemic. Our hearts were so happy for them knowing their day had finally arrived!

We love Catholic and Orthodox weddings with all the tradition and meaning involved in the ceremony. Emily and David were married at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Brunswick. It was so fun listening to Father Andrew talk about Emily and David’s love story beginning at Burger King. We’re kind of obsessed with how they met!

It was our second time at what quickly became one of our favorite venues, Columbia Hills. Somehow, we brought the rain with us again, but you wouldn’t even know it by the smiles these two and their bridal party brought to the golf course! The downpour held off just long enough for us to finish up photos under a beautiful blooming tree before the party got started!

Emily’s dad gave the most equal parts beautiful and hilarious speech we have ever heard at a wedding. Truly, phenomenal. We were sobbing and laughing along as he toasted the newly married couple. It was so fun watching everyone dance the night away!

Emily and David, thank you so much for choosing us. It has been so special to get to know you, your family, and your friends. It has been amazing to learn your love story and be here with you on the craziest wedding planning ride. We are so happy we were still able to be there and capture your perfect day despite all the challenges of 2020.
