Our final wedding Wednesday of the year is here! And this is one I wasn’t ready for at all, but I am so happy about it! (But also it means I’m officially old now, I think)
I first photographed Savanna as a young teen with her family… then I went on to shoot her senior portraits… and this year, somehow time slipped by, and just like that: Savanna was engaged! WHAT?! I can’t believe I get to shoot her wedding next year and I’m so so so thankful that she reached out to me and has trusted me all of these years with these memories. I’m going to cry buckets during the father/daughter dance, guaranteed.
I met her and her amazing fiancé Jake at the park her mother took her to as a child, the park I shot her brother’s senior photos in, and so this location was really meaningful to them! And Savanna wanted a sunset and we got the most beautiful golden glow at one of my favorite spots!
Savanna and Jake met while working together at a grocery store, which is… so. stinkin. adorable. in an age where it seems everyone is meeting through an app on their phone!
It was so fun to walk around the park more and get to know Jake. These two are goofy together and it’s clear how much Jake cares for Savanna, and that makes this family photographer turned friend so happy (:
Savanna and Jake…. am I crying already? …Thank you for choosing me to capture your big day. I cannot wait. I am so honored you picked me.
Here are my favorite photos from your engagement shoot! <3 xo Ali
